Greg Lyle, Founder & CEO, Innovative Research Group

Greg is the founder and President of Innovative Research Group Inc. (INNOVATIVE), a national public opinion research and strategy firm with offices in Toronto and Vancouver.  INNOVATIVE helps clients build strong relationships with key audiences through research, consultation services and strategic advice.  

As a former Principal Secretary to Manitoba Premier Gary Filmon, Greg has built a career at the intersection of public opinion, communications and public policy.  With over 30 years of communications and opinion research experience, Greg uses a full range of research tools to provide strategic counsel to public, private and not-for profit clients across a variety of sectors including financial services, insurance, transportation, resource industries, energy, health care, and education.   Greg is particularly experienced in helping clients build social permission as well as in crisis communications, corporate reputation, social marketing and public affairs.

Greg’s polls have been highlighted in media across the country including polling for Maclean and the Globe and Mail in federal and provincial elections for the past dozen years, and he has been asked again to participate in 2019. 

Hayley Woodin, Multimedia Journalist, Business in Vancouver

Hayley is a multimedia reporter with Business in Vancouver, where she co-hosts and co-produces BIV Today: B.C.’s only daily podcast dedicated to covering business. She appears weekly on Global News Morning, and contributes regularly to BIV’s print and digital publications. 

Hayley is a regular emcee and moderator at industry functions, including ACG events. 

Ted Dixon, Co-Founder, INK Research

Ted Dixon is Co-Founder of INK Research. INK stands for Insider News and Knowledge, and INK Research is Canada’s first on-line financial news and research service providing investor insights into what public company executives and significant shareholders are doing with their ownership interests. Ted has founded and manages a Canadian ETF. He has developed policies, primarily in the resources sector, that were implemented by the previous BC Liberal Government. He is also a contributing writer for the Globe and Mail, and has worked as a lecturer in corporate finance at BCIT.

Before starting INK, Ted worked at Connor Clark and Lunn Financial Group where his responsibilities included portfolio strategy and product development, has also been an analyst at the Fraser Institute, a treasury specialist at TD Bank and a floor trader on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Ted is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA Vancouver (formerly the Vancouver Society of Financial Analysts).

Bruce Young, Principal, Earnscliffe BC

Bruce Young joined Earnscliffe in September 2004, opening the company’s British Columbia office. A seasoned campaign strategist, Bruce provides communications, political and public policy counsel to a wide variety of corporate leaders, public servants and politicians. As managing principal for the Earnscliffe Strategy Group B.C, Bruce has led the growth and expansion of the company in the western Canadian marketplace.

Previously, he served in a number of senior capacities within the Federal government and corporate Canada. Bruce was the Senior Vice President, Western Operations for a respected global communications agency and was previously named one of Business in Vancouver’s top 40 under 40 for his leadership. Bruce has served as senior advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, where he was responsible for the full run of BC specific issues facing the federal cabinet. 

Peter Mogan, Founder & Senior Partner, Mogan Daniels Slager LLP

Known as a leading mid-market M&A legal advisor in British Columbia, Peter Mogan, founder and senior partner of Mogan Daniels Slager LLP, has over 40 years of experience as a transactions lawyer. Peter has been called to the bar in both Ontario and B.C. and has practiced in large national firm, mid-sized firm and small firm settings. Over the years, Peter has been the go-to lawyer for hundreds of entrepreneurs selling a business or seeking a private equity partner. Between 2010 and 2017, Peter represented six of the fourteen winners of the “Dealmaker of the Year” award for British Columbia awarded by the Association for Corporate Growth.
